IBM Connects Digital Asset Haven to Swift’s Ledger for Tokenized Deposits

IBM on September 24 announced a beta ISO 20022 Messaging Adapter that connects clients of its Digital Asset Haven platform to Swift’s blockchain-based shared ledger for tokenized-deposit transactions. The integration is designed to let financial institutions access the emerging ledger using standard payment messages and existing compliance processes, rather than adopting blockchain-specific workflows. As Swift prepares its ledger for initial use by a defined group of banks, the announcement marks a beta release—not a declaration of broad production deployment—with live tokenized-deposit pilots still part of the wider program. Testing tokenized deposits before settlement in existing systems IBM said participating financial institutions have already tested tokenized deposits on Swift’s ledger through Digital Asset Haven.
